Our Story

Nestled in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland, Apple Montessori has been a trusted provider of an authentic early childhood Montessori eduction since 1983. As a small and caring community, we pride ourselves on fostering a close-knit and supportive atmosphere that resonates throughout our classrooms. At Apple, we are deeply dedicated to nurturing the innate desire to learn that resides within every young child.

Our program reflects our belief that each child is unique, and our self-paced and structured Montessori curriculum is carefully crafted to address individual needs and strengths. Our offerings include a comprehensive Toddler Program designed for children ages two to three and a Primary Program catering to children ages three to six. To support families' varying needs, we are proud to offer flexible daily schedules and an option to extend the school year through the summer.

In our classrooms, teachers play a pivotal role in guiding the learning process, offering direction and support as students navigate the Montessori curriculum. The mixed ages within each class foster a unique dynamic, allowing children to both learn from and mentor one another, creating a community built on mutual respect. This approach not only provides an outstanding academic foundation but also nurtures social skills during these formative years.

Our location at the Concord Center spans five beautiful acres, providing endless opportunities for outdoor exploration and play. Students have the opportunity to connect with nature on a daily basis through exploration of our garden and wooded areas. Our expansive play area features plenty of space for riding bikes and scooters and a large field perfect for running and outdoor games.
